I live in NYC and have been to the best of the best acupuncturists and guess what?….it STILL HURTS!!.. Not every single point, but some on sensitive spots with little fat, like your fingers or toes—OUCH. Sometimes I’ve had a shot of lightning type pain that has made me scream out loud. Trust me–it is not fun. I do believe it works and wouldn’t put myself through it otherwise, but it is NO picnic.

I received a treatment and had a terrible pain, in my left hand region below the pinky. Has anyone suffered with diarrhea as a result of getting acupuncture? I would suffer from this symptom two days following my appt. My pain was not numbing, but like nail to bone, it hurt like hell! My pain did not dissipate once the needle was taken out, it continued for the rest of the day and into the evening-VERY UNCOMFORTABLE!
